Womens Health Insurance Program

why should an 18 year old girl get special privileges, programs and advantages an 18 year old boy does not?
why should an 18 year old girl get special privileges, programs and advantages an 18 year old boy does not?
feminists are always screaming about the “War on women.”…
what war?
what rights do women not have that men do?
in what way are women legally discriminated against?
the “war on women” is actually the term used for repealing the “extra” benefits one gets for being born female.
women get special loans to start small business that men dont get
women get lower insurance rates
girls have more scholarships and federal grants for education
there are more programs, paid by mens taxes, than help women only
there are also many womens only health clinics and medical services- again, things male tax payers pay for.
the question is, if males and females are supposedly equal, why should an 18 year old girl get advantages and privileges an 18 year old boy doesnt get?
this isnt “anti woman”…this is pro equality. disagreeing would be anti men, however.
Women earn about 81 cents for every dollar men earn for the same job with the same educational requirements. Women are expected to be the primary caregivers for any children they have, but maternity leave is in a woeful state in the US and other countries. The majority of victims of rape and domestic violence are women, by an overwhelming margin. Women are not taken as seriously in the workplace, meaning they are more frequently overlooked for promotions and have more trouble starting their own businesses (hence the extra loans). Women’s basic health care decisions are being taken away from them at an alarming rate by legislatures across the US. In these, and in so many other ways, both overt and subtle, our society and culture is structured to benefit men over women. These ~extra~ programs that you’re so concerned about are an effort to begin to level the playing field a little for women, and compensate for the myriad disadvantages we suffer in society as a result of not being men. That’s why the 18-year-old girl gets extra programs to help her, because the whole of society is already set up to benefit the 18-year-old boy.
